I got this app for my new Ipod Touch 4g and it runs fine but because the lack of a actual compass or gps chip on the ipod the app cant locate the sats. You have to manually imput a known location for a sat to be able to pic up the sats on that part of the ark. For example If you allready have a dish pointed to 119 and want to know where is 61.5 you can choose the 119 sat and It will give you the sats from 129 to about 82, thats it. Im shure this is a great app for people with compass and gps on their device, but not for the Ipod Touch 4G. A waste of $10.00

I dont write many reviews but for this app I had to. Used with an iPhone 4. I full-time RV, have Dish and usually let the auto-setup of my Winegard Carryout find the satellites. I had been parked for over a month at an RV park and had several trees overhead. I had over the weeks been moving my Carryout dish on my roof trying to find a clear shot to the sky, with no perfect line. So while standing on top of my 38 fifth-wheel I down loaded this app. I then laid down on the roof so the phone would be at the same level as the Carryout dish. I moved to about 6 different spots until I found one that showed the sky exactly where I needed it. I moved my Carryout dish to that spot and its been a perfect signal ever since! Great App!!!

A must for campers. Found my satellite in seconds. Wish I had known about this sooner, hubby could have watched his ballgame while we were camping.

Version 2.1 is perfect for me. I use the iPod Touch 4 which has a camera and WIFI, but no compass or GPS. This version works great for the new iTouch 4 because when you do not have WIFI locations services, you can maually enter your location coordinates and with a hand held compass see the relative locations of the satellites you may be using. I took the iTouch to 2 difficult sites where we had trouble with the western arc birds. Right away I saw we had to relocate one dish and adjust another. Now we have strong reliable signals. Many thanks to the developer of this APP !!

I have been using this to install Directv for over 6 months, and as a supervisor for about 2 months. This app is right on every time. This is way better then a inclo. I have had less then one degree of space all around the satellite and got perfect signal every time. I showed it to everyone at work and they bought it right away. A must have app for all satellite techs!

Just purchased this app being a RV traveler thinking it would be useful. What a waste of money, freezes my iPhone every time I try to use it. Starts initially, where I normally point my dish to get both satellite dishes (119 and 110). The track is at least 20 degrees off being higher than when I do it manually. When I press done, thats when it freezes my iPhone. Everything is frozen and I have to turn the iPhone off then turn it back on to use the phone again. I have the latest versions of the software per Apples Check for updates.

This is the most useful utility program I have. The program does what it says it does, and its just amazing to visually see the satellites and the trees and buildings. Its well worth the $10 as were fulltime RVers and move around a lot. Im using the program with an iPhone 4G.

I quit taking my dish on camping trips because now matter how hard I tried, I could never find the satellites. After buying this app, I never miss! I thank you and my kids thank you!

This app is a little pricey, but worth every penny! I bought it to help me set up my dish when we go camping. What a time saver! I emailed the developer with a question before downloading. He got back to me right away.

Need to be able to read instructions more. I couldnt get it to work.

Have used this app for last five months with only two missed targets. Take time to refocus at least twice to confirm satellite location. Only drawback Ive found! iPhone 4s with updates recommended, I love this app.

Doesnt work in the least bit. Im so upset they even charge for this POS!!!

You can use your compass instead. Just point south and make sure its the right number, Ex: 188 S.

I found this app on the Internet. While at the lake I set my dish antenna up and was not getting any feed from the 119 satellite. I thought the LNB was bad. With this app I was able to see the satellites and discovered that the 119 satellite was behind a tree limb. I moved it over a couple of feet and all channels worked. Without this app I would have never caught it. Very pleased!!!

This little program does just what it advertised to do! It is a wonderful for the traveling RV Satellite pointer. It has made the pointing process painless!

I love this app. Traveling in our RV, we use this before we park to ensure a clear line of sight to our three satellites. Works every time .

I just want to say thanks. I am a headend tech and ran across this today its first test was a brand new dish on 125W and worked great.

I paid the $10 for this app and came to this conclusion: if you know how to use this app you dont need it. If you are not already a seasoned satellite dish installer..use the $10 toward your bill when you call someone who knows what theyre doing. I picked up a satellite (110) about 20 degrees away from where the app showed it to be. Buy at your own risk

This is not worth downloading even for free. It is not accurate enough to help with slimline directv dish.

This app is absolutely useless! Do not waste your time! Its amazing how people come up with such sh**! I dont even wanna rate it one star but, I gotta..
